And she was a terrible employee that just up and left one day. Okay okay okay, maybe she wasn’t terrible. That was back in 2010 so let’s say the past is um water under the bridge. Fast forward to 2015 and the second half of this story picks up. For lack of a better reference we will call it Chapter 2. Hang on, I reckon it can’t really be Chapter 2 since there wasn’t even a Chapter 1. OMG! About that wedding… and back on track. CHAPTER 2 — I (Mike if you haven’t noticed) was on a solo roadtrip across the U.S. in 2015. Along the way I wrote a blog and posted numerous pictures to social media. Out of no where, Sarah appeared to comment on a picture. Don’t tell her but I forgot we were friends. EEEKKK!!! I sent her a message to see what in the world she was up to. Come to find out she was single and ready to mingle. I promised to take her out to dinner when I came back to Kentucky and she agreed to it. Soon after our first date I met her parents and her two amazing little boys. From there we have traveled, hiked, cried, laughed, laughed some more and been on one hell of an adventure. Soon we will embark on our next adventure and would love for you to join us for this one.

Now her side of the story…

So at one point in time Mr. Johnson was my boss… Personally, I thought he was a great boss or a really naughty one considering we know how this story ends, or begins whichever way you’d like to look at it. After being laid off, yeah, he actually laid me off (claiming my job was going to India) our strictly work relationship ended. For five years after that I hadn’t heard from him, in my book he was a real life no show Jones… Ahhh, the one that got away… then came back? How romantic. After all these years one day I see he’s gone bonkers and traveling all over the country… and I thought to myself, my goodness, someone has to tie this poor man down… a few phone calls, a couple of hikes through the hills and a visit to the farmers market, I’d fallen in love…
